'Sham 69 play Dundee' by Steve Gunn //

The new line-up of Sham 69 took to the stage at Fat Sam’s live music venue and Tim V's first words were to thank Dundee for having them back. They started the set with ‘Give A Dog A Bone’, followed by ‘Shout’, ‘Hey little rich boy’ and many more. The mainly older crowd (although there were a group of teenage neatly dressed new punks at the front) didn’t take long to get back into the old punk ways.
It’s been years since I last saw Sham 69 and the new line-up of Tim V, Dave Parsons, Ian Whitewood, and Al Campbell didn’t disappoint. Their stage banter with the crowd only strengthened the belief that they were there to entertain the old -fashioned way: non-stop punk. Song after song came out,  in the end playing 23 songs to the excited Dundee/Fife punks. They finished the set with the favourites: ‘Angels’ and ‘Borstal Breakout’, only taking breath to thank the crowd for their support and hoping to see them all again soon.
